Some functions in an organization have well-defined boundaries. Production, Quality, Sales, Maintenance, Logistics, Human Resources… For the beginner in those fields it is pretty easy to see where your responsibilities begin and end. But what about process improvement leaders? How do you define your boundaries, and how do you maintain those boundaries with your peers in other, more “silo”-oriented, functions, while still expanding your reach in order to influence Change and Improvement in your organization? There are multiple challenges Process Improvement Leaders face in their efforts to sustain progress within their organizations.
I’ll address a few of these challenges over my next few posts. Please join the conversation and share your experiences! Although I have many insights to offer, the real value comes from sharing your own knowledge with others.
